DECC’s findings on public’s views on smart meters (February 2014)

NumbersDECC released the latest findings from their survey to measure the public’s views on smart meters and in-home displays (IHDs) on 4 February 2014.

The overall objective of the project was to understand consumer awareness, understanding of and attitudes towards smart meters and to see how these changed over time. The fourth wave of the survey was conducted during September/October 2013.

Example finding: “In Wave 4, three in five bill-payers (60%) reported to be aware of smart meters; this was consistent with Wave 3.”
