Energy bill savings in the private rented sector (published February 2015)

Numbers‘From April 2018, landlords will be required by law to get their leakiest properties to an energy efficiency rating of at least Band “E”. Estimates suggest that on average the difference in a heating bill from the least energy efficient properties and those with an energy rating Band “E” is £880.’

Warm homes discount rebates (published January 2015)

Numbers“The WHD [Warm Homes Discount] was launched in 2011 and has helped over 2 million fuel poor and vulnerable households each scheme year, most of them through direct rebates off their electricity bill.”

Additional information – This information was taken from DECC’s consultation response document published on 5 January 2015  concerning the question of whether to extend the scheme. The current scheme regulations expire on 31 March 2015.

Energy consumption data (published January 2015)
